In 2015, rumours were already circulating that Apple was focusing on the automobile sector. I received an assignment from AutoBild to design a possible Apple iCar. My final idea was a fully autonomous shuttle concept – e.g. for airport to city transfers. The front and rear of the vehicle are exactly the same and can change direction as required. It has 4 swinging doors, no B-pillars, a large interior with four fully rotatable single seats and no steering wheel. It has an autonomous drive, is controlled via app and has electric motors on all wheels. The direction of travel is indicated by the white LED light on the front and the red LED light at the rear. The front of the vehicle also lowers slightly during the journey in order to achieve better aerodynamics. The concept would obviously also be suitable for other brands – you can see a variation of this concept on the home page, not related to Apple…
