During my 6th semester studying Transportation Design at Pforzheim University, I took part in a “Future Showtruck” design competition for the company Fulda-Reifen. My “Y-Concept” with a trailer that opened in a scissor-like manner impressed the jury and I was thus awarded the contract for the design implementation of the completed road-approved show vehicle in 1:1. Design and construction began in 1999. The completed truck was presented at the IAA Commercial Vehicles in Frankfurt am Main. The small 1:87 models manufactured by the miniature model company Herpa came onto the market in 2002.
